Wordless Wednesday - The Dells

2 years old already?

My baby turned 2 years old today ... Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I brought this tiny peanut home. Now she's almost 36" tall and probably about 25lbs...

I woke up this morning and cried in denial for about 20 minutes... I want her to stay little :(

To celebrate we are in Wisonsin Dells for the weekend. Evelyn is having a blast with everything! Especially the water park!!!

Wordless Wednesday

Longing for some peace and quiet...

Evelyn has gotten to the point where all she does ALL day is talk or whine or cry or sing.... She's never quiet! I don't really mind it when we are at home because I can talk with her or sing with her etc, but when we are at a place like a restaurant or at Church, it's kind of embarassing when she won't be quiet.  At Church, I have to always give her something to snack on so that she doesn't disturb people around us. At restaurants it's the same thing... we either have to make sure there's bread on the table or that we have something else to entertain her with.

I don't really know how to make her understand that there are some places where she needs to be quiet or talk quietly.... Hopefully this phase passes soon.

Terrible Two's?

I think the terrible two's are upon us. We are now getting temper tantrums, running away and just random screaming and whining! Today I thought I was going to lose it!

Of course I love my little girl, but being around that 24/7 is going to get a little trying.... Lol!

I have decided to start Weight Watchers and get back into the habit of going to the gym, so at least that will give me a little bit of time away from the house/alone time!

In other news, my grandfather passed away on Sunday... I already miss him terribly. Wednesday is the wake and the funeral is on Thursday... Pray that I have the strength to get through it. It's going to be really really hard. My entire family was very close with him... Heck he lived a block over from me. RIP Dziadziu (grandpa in Polish) I will miss you so so much!

2013

Happy 2013! I can't believe that in a couple short months, my baby will be 2 years old! Where has the time gone?

I hope everyone had a great New Years. We spent it at an indoor water park resort with some friends and celebrated my one friend's 30th birthday as well! The resort, Key Lime Cove, was a lot of fun! I would definitely stay there again.

I am glad that Evelyn loves to be in the water. She had so much fun on the slides and pushing my hubby's head under water :)

They have a pretty nice arcade, a spa, kids spa and all sorts of restaurants at the resort. On NYE they had a dance party for families and also a special countdown and balloon drop at 10pm for the kids! We had a blast!

Other than that, New Year's Day we played at the water park for a bit before leaving for home. We also had dinner at my parents' house, which was a drama filled evening as usual! Oh well... What else is new.

I am not formally making any resolutions for 2013. I just know I want to be a better and healthier me!

An update! Whoa!

Haven't posted in about 6 months... Why am I so bad at this?

Anyway, my little girl is now almost 22 months old (where has the time gone?). I fear that we are now entering the "terrible two's". We are getting more frequent temper tantrums and Evelyn has learned the word "no". We are trying to just take it in stride and teach her what is right and wrong. She's really not all that bad, just trying our patience! :) oh well, we still love her! lol!

She is also learning and growing every day! She is learning to speak in sentences. She amazes me every single day! I love this little girl so much!
